1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BecomeACitizen.ca, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

BecomeACitizen.ca provides practice questions and study tools to help prepare for the Canadian Citizenship Test. Our questions are based on the official "Discover Canada" study guide published by the Government of Canada.

3. No Guarantee of Results

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date content, we make no guarantees that using our service will result in passing the official citizenship test. The actual test questions, format, and passing criteria are determined solely by IRCC and may differ from our practice materials.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You may not share your account with others
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

5. Free and Premium Services

We offer both free and premium (paid) tiers. Free users have access to 226+ practice questions. Premium users gain access to the full 1,000+ question database with French translations and detailed explanations.

6. Payments and Refunds

Premium access is a one-time payment of $4.99 CAD. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Due to the digital nature of the product, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of purchase for refund requests.

7. Intellectual Property

The free-tier questions sourced from Canadian public library programs are in the public domain. Premium questions, website design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of BecomeACitizen.ca. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

8. Content Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure our content reflects current Canadian facts, laws, and government structure. However, political information (such as current leaders and party standings) may change. We update our content periodically but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

9. Limitation of Liability

BecomeACitizen.ca is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to failure to pass the citizenship test.

10. Community & User-Generated Content

Our Community forum allows you to post discussions, replies, and other content ("User Content"). By posting, you agree to the following:

• You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant BecomeACitizen.ca a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and moderate it on our platform.
• You are solely responsible for the content you post. Do not post content that is defamatory, illegal, misleading, hateful, or that violates third-party rights.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, community rules, or applicable law without notice.
• Do not share personal legal documents, immigration file numbers, or other sensitive personal information in community posts.
• Community posts do not constitute legal or immigration advice. Always consult a qualified immigration professional for your specific situation.
• We may use aggregated, anonymized data from community interactions to improve our services.
• Repeated violations of community rules may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
